Hey,
as discussed on the board meeting earlier today, I just created a public
board mailing list (board-***@lists.young-pirates.eu, as usually
subscribing works by send an empty mail to
board-public+***@lists.young-pirates.eu).
Most of the stuff that is usually discussed on the board mailing list
doesn't need to be kept internal, but often still isn't interesting
enough to justify spamming the general mailing list.
Therefore, we now have a public board mailing list. As the name says,
it's a public mailing list which will be used by the board for
communication. Everyone is welcome to subscribe. The mailing list is
also writable for all subscribers, so if you feel like you have a new
viewpoint in a discussion that hasn't been highlighted yet, feel free to
bring it in.
Having a world-writable, public board mailing list has worked out really
well at the German Young Pirates, and I hope we'll make this experience
here, too!
