Hi Svetlana,

Young Pirates made an application in Belgium for March 20-24 and in
Finland & Germany sometime in the summer (don't have the exact dates).
Those are the applications I am aware of where Young Pirates are the
main organisers (there are two more for EuroDIG pre-events, where YPE is
a co-sponsor, but probably can only send very few people who have to go
through an application process.

Regarding the event in Brussels, you should get in touch with Amelia
Andersdotter's office at the European Parliament, as it would be easiest
if the Belarusian Young Pirates went there as part of an MEP's visitors
group.

Julia
Hello, pirates.
I want to ask boards, how many Youth in Action applications did young
pirates prepare? And what countries did apply for the grants? And when are
going to be all the applying camps?
Want to know this to use this informations for find out how to get visa
invitations.
Lukas, I have written Angelika Beer, but unfortunatelly she does not know
how to resolve this issue. If you know more people who can work with visa
issues, let me know, please.

Dear Svetlana,

the exact programme of the event in March in Brussels is dependent on
whether or not our Youth in Action application is going to be accepted.
I have attached our proposal for a timetable to this e-mail, but
realising it will require some financial support from the European
Union. If our application is rejected, we will have to do something much
smaller.

Regarding the visit of Falanster: Every member of the European
Parliament, including the two Swedish Pirate MEPs, has the right to
invite a certain number of people to the European parliament every year.
That means that the European Parliament pays for their travel cost after
the trip. I have been told that the people they invite don't have to be
from the EU, they can also be from Belarus.

I have contacted Amelia's assistant Mab to find out if it would be
possible for Amelia to invite some members of Falanster to come to
Brussels in March, since the Youth in Action application (if it is
accepted) only covers travel cost of participants from programme
countries, which does not include Belarus. I have not heard from Mab
yet, but explained to him that you will have to know well in advance so
you can get your visa in time. I've put him in CC on this e-mail,
perhaps he can tell us more.

Julia
Thank you.
So as far as I understood it will be possible to visit European Parliament
for Falanster's members.
And I needto talk about that with Amelia Andersdotter's office ?
What will be the programme of the visit to European Parliament the next
spring ?
Svetlana
Hey,
speaking of YIA applications: The German young pirates got a confirmation
of our application in the mail a few days ago, so that seems to have
worked. They also informed us that they'll decide on the applications some
time December (which we already knew).
Best,
Lukas
P.S.: I checked and we managed to slightly miss the deadlines for Council
of Europe funding, and their funding is two-year, so no (regular) CoE
funding till 2016 :(
