Dear delegates,

as you probably already know from either the General Assembly in Brussels
or from the minutes of it, there has been a motion for the Young Pirates of
Europe to join the *Just Net Coalition* and support their *Delhi
Declaration*.

The declaration is one possible model for the future of Internet Governance
and features 23 principles. These principles are categorised into four
different groups: *"Internet as a global commons", "Democratizing the
architecture of the Internet", "Internet and Rights" *and* "Governing the
Internet in the Public interest"*.

More info about the Just Net Coalition can be found here:
http://justnetcoalition.org
The Delhi Declaration can be found here:
http://justnetcoalition.org/delhi-declaration

We are inviting all of the YPE member organizations to express their
opinion on this declaration and discuss the possibility of joining the Just
Net Coalition.
To facilitate this discussion we are inviting you to join us in a Mumble
session on October 12, 2014 at 18:00h CEST (UTC+2h, which means
German/French/Swedish/
Local Time). We are also asking you to leave your
remarks in the YPE Facebook Group (
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1423245491261680/) or send them to us via
***@lists.young-pirates.eu

In addition to the official delegates of each country, we are hoping to
involve as many individual young pirates as possible in the discussion.
Therefore we kindly ask you to share this information on your organizations
communication channels and try to encourage an inclusive discussion within
your national organisation.

Soon after the discussion all member organizations will be voting on
whether to approve the motion. The vote will take place via email. More
information on the specifics will be provided as soon as it's due.

Thank you for your participation!

Cheers

Saara Siintola & Bernhard Hayden,

the YPE Board
